Everest Health Citizen Space Medical Preparation, Clearance, and Recovery
The Space Protocol within Everest Health’s Go Beyond Membership equips you with the critical physiological and cognitive readiness essential for space travel. Grounded in advanced diagnostics and personalized conditioning, this program focuses on microgravity adaptation, cardiovascular health, and cognitive resilience to prepare your body and mind for the demands of spaceflight. Our program has been developed following the template of NASA protocols and research, resulting from thousands of pages of scientific documentation.
- Medical readiness for space flight
- Preparation for space flight, microgravity, and return
- Official Medical Clearance for space flight up to 30 days duration
- 60- days management to ensure safe return to Earth without sequelae and management of any residual effects of space travel
All services in Base Camp & Ascend packages
- Space-focused Screening: labs, functional measures, pulmonary health, vestibular health, cardiovascular health, NASA-level tests, gold-standard VO2 max assessments, cognitive testing.
- Preparation: health optimization for space flight = optimization on Earth. Evidence-based bespoke Protocol to address any deficits to render space flight safe, training (including musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological systems) for enhanced space flight enjoyment (adapting to altered neuro-cognitive sensing), guided space-flight and weightlessness physical simulations, and expectations for return to Earth.
- Flight and Recovery: Attendance and care by a medical professional on the day of flight and return, management and resolution of expected short duration microgravity alterations, reassessment and adjustment of training programs for complete recovery on days 0, 1, 7, 30. Assessment and consultation day 60 post-flight to determine plan and goals going forward.
- Facilitation and case management for specialist testing.
